Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe

This is a not-too-sweet cream cheese frosting recipe that is first found in my “Oreo Flavor Competition” where I compared which homemade cookie is the best.

See if what I think is the winner deserves the title?

Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe

A light, rich, and buttery frosting and filling

  • 115 grams Cream Cheese (softened)
  • 25 grams Unsalted Butter (softened)
  • 100 grams Powdered Sugar
  • 6 grams Vanilla Flavoring or Extract
  1. In a medium bowl, cream the cream cheese and butter until incorporated and fluffy with a hand mixer or stand mixer

  2. Scrape down the bowl and add the powdered sugar

  3. Fold in the powdered sugar with the creamed butter first so sugar doesn't fly out of the bowl

  4. Keep mixing using the hand mixer (or whichever kitchen tool you're using) until all ingredients are mixed and has a whipped look

  5. Add the vanilla flavoring and mix until combined

  6. Store in refrigeration if not using immediately. Bring it out prior to using to soften
