Which Flavor Reigns Supreme?!
Homemade Chocolate Wafers are just 💣💣! Cookies and cream however is just a classic treat. I remember as a kid I loved cookies ‘n’ cream, especially Oreo, and hated the Hersey’s cookie and cream bar for whatever reasons. I eventually stopped eating them all in my adulthood and was shocked to see Oreo produce so MANY flavors. I thought the “uh-oh” Oreo was 🤯.
Inspired by all the flavors sandwich cookie wizard has conjured, I decided to bake some of my own and put some flavors to the test…
Putting it to the Test
4 flavors were chosen: traditional buttercream, chocolate frosting, cream cheese frosting, and peanut butter mousse.
- Buttercream – Just like the nostalgic Oreo, but a little too sweet
- Chocolate Frosting – For the chocolate lovers; it gave a rich like double chocolate flavor
- Cream Cheese Frosting – Almost like a whoopie pie? It had the tart-ness of the cream cheese and a smooth whip texture
- Peanut Butter Frosting – Light, not too sweet, fluffy and PB&C is a never failed combo
Roll Out the Frosted Carpet…
This may come as a shock (or not) but, Peanut Butter Frosting! It is a bitter sweet victory because not everyone can have peanut butter, but the combination is just so good. Nuts and chocolate generally.
