Soft Pretzels Are Amazing!
Soft pretzels are a beloved snack and street food that can be found in many parts of the world. These chewy, salty treats are made from a simple dough that is shaped into a knot or twist and then boiled in a solution of baking soda and water before being baked.
If you haven’t tried it yet, these pretzels go great with a Hard Cider Cheese Dip. These are also delicious to have with warm caramel or just plain!
Getting the Gold
To achieve the golden crispiness, I brushed a lightly beaten egg before putting them in the oven. Before baking, this is the opportunity to sprinkle salt or any other toppings (cheese, veggie, pepperoni, etc.)
Overall, soft pretzels are a tasty and beloved snack that are enjoyed by people of all ages. Whether you’re looking for a quick snack on the go or a tasty treat to share with friends and family, soft pretzels are sure to satisfy your cravings.

-
Preheat oven to 450 F / 230 C. Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
-
Cut/portion dough into pieces and roll them out into balls. I did about 80 grams, because I like them smaller
-
Fill a pot about 3.25 quarts of water and bring it to a boil on high
-
Once it is in a rolling bowl add the baking soda slowly as the foam will come up quickly. Bring the heat down to medium
-
Boil each pretzel for 30 seconds per side.
-
Transfer pretzels to a baking sheet, brush with egg wash and sprinkle with salt. Bake for 10-15 minutes, until golden brown. Time here can be different based on the size you made each ball
